About David

David Robinson rode in the Pasadena Rose Parade, was a newspaper reporter, took a fascinating road trip with one of the moon-walking astronauts, drove across country during the nation’s bicentennial summer (1976), once got lost in Mexico, briefly piloted a glider plane over Torrey Pines (San Diego), and was invited to join the Honorable Society of SOB’s by Ray Bradbury (who was previously selected by W.C. Fields).

He also studied creative writing with two wonderful teachers/writers and eventually received his Master’s Degree from San Diego State University, established the U.S. Senate-supported annual Endangered Species Day, wrote articles for various publications, managed public relations agencies (clients included Bell Helmets, Daiwa, WD-40, Marriott Hotels, Roger’s Gardens, and Polo/Ralph Lauren stores) and was the founding editor of a national magazine.

After ghostwriting several successful business/motivational books, David realized that he must start writing fiction again. The Nowhere Novel and 18 Other Short and Shorter Stories was published in 2018, which was followed by Mammoth Falls’ Unforgettable Summer. In September 2026, he introduced The Hopeful Valley Promise.

David is probably sitting at his writing desk right now in Hemet, California (after a long stay in San Diego) where he lives with his wife, an artist.

He would love to hear from you.
